Terms and Conditions of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Hikers Challenge (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Hikers Challenge is operated by Trails & Mountains ("we", "us", "our").

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent data (including fabricated GPS tracks)
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or platform systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without authorization
  • Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or violates the rights of others

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (GPS tracks, photos, trip notes). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and process that content as necessary to operate the Service. You represent that you have the right to upload any content you submit.

5. Challenge Participation

Challenges on the platform are informational and recreational. Completion is tracked based on GPS data and challenge rules. We do not guarantee official recognition by third-party hiking organizations unless specifically stated.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform. You may stop using the Service at any time.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Hiking involves risks, and you are solely responsible for your decisions in the field. Always use your own judgment, navigation tools, and safety practices.
